The Sayville Yacht Club is proud to once again be the local host of the Leukemia Cup Regatta to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The SYC Leukemia Cup Regatta is an exciting 2-day event, taking place Saturday August 15 and Sunday, August 16, that brings together sailors competing in a variety of divisions. These sailors are united in their effort to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. SYC joins the many clubs around the country in supporting and promoting the important work of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Last year's event raised over $50,000. While we realize the stark realities of the current economic situation, we are committed to besting that effort this year. The funds we raise will assist the mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We can only achieve this goal with your help!

This year's event offers you some great opportunities to be involved and help fight blood cancers!

• Participant Registration - includes boat registration and 4 Post-Race Party tickets 
• Laser Registration - includes boat registration and 1 Post-Race Party ticket
• Junior Registration - inludes boat registration and 1 Junior Post-Race Party ticket
• Virtual Sailor - No boat?  No problem!  Register as a Virtual Sailor to create a fundraising website that will allow you to fundraise for LLS and be eligible for incentive prizes. (note that this level does not include a Post-Race Party ticket)
• Post-Race Party - purchase tickets to one of the best parties of the summer, featuring a dinner buffet, free Mount Gay rum drinks and live music, plus raffles and an auction

• Paper Sail Boats fundraiser - Do you own a business that might be able to help us by selling paper sail boats?  Are there local stores and other businesses you frequent that might be willing to help?  If so, contact Laura to order FREE pads of paper sail boats that can be sold for a $1 each to help raise funds for a cure.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society works tirelessly to help find a cure because the need is critical. Nearly 785,829 Americans have leukemia, Hodgkin or non-Hodgkin lymphoma or myeloma. Every five minutes, someone new is diagnosed with blood cancer. Leukemia is the leading cause of disease-related death among children and young adults under age 20. Society-funded research has directly contributed to many breakthrough cancer treatments, but there is still work to do. Your donation will fund the much needed research and provide services to patients that are battling these diseases.
